Guides accredited to the Parco Archeologico della Villa Romana del Casale following up the refresher course organized by the Regional Administration of Culture in agreement with the Tourism Department. Link
What about me, I was born and grew in Como ( it is near the Switzerland border, not very far from Milan, in the North of Italy), where I studied and worked until I came to live in Sicily.
I have been leaving in Agrigento – Sicily for over twenty years. Slowly I learned so much about i:, its history, its culture, its landscapes, colors and scents. I know it well now, everything is delightful and charming. This, also, contributed to my turn.
I decided to become a tour guide because of my passion for history and art. They have been my favorite subjects also when I was a child. Moreover there was a tour guide in my family and I was used to visit Museums and Galleries with her. As a result I have studied foreign languages at a private Switzerland school in my city and after it I worked at the sale department of a major Italian company ( a fashion accessories’ distributor of famous Italian stylists/designers).
I passed a text to become a tour guide in Sicily in 2003. I have been working as a tour guide for eleven years, mainly for two Unesco sites: The Valley of the Temples at Agrigento and The Roman villa of Casale at Piazza Armerina.
As regional guide you can , also, find my name in the list of the official guides at the Sicilian Tourist Department (= Assessorato)- Authorization nr. 1149 – SE 047/084.
This work allows to get in touch with a wide range of people from different countries and having different cultural interests. It is precious to try to let know a place, an archaeological site, a monument or a city in all its aspects, from all sides. A guide is really the best way, how to improve the knowledge of a place in a specific way. In this case is Sicily, its millenary history, a blend of different cultures and traditions mixed all together that make it unique. Who comes to visit it will discover great treasures, not only magnificent monuments and enchanting landscapes, but also a rich culinary tradition and exceptional wineries.

Hobbies
Traveling: cities, National Parks and non-tourist places. Traveling includes also culinary traditions.
Reading: novels and history books. My favorite novel is “ Memorie di Adriano” written by Marguerite Youcenar. About Sicilian authors: “The Lepard “ by Giuseppe Tomasi of Lampedusa, “I Vicerè” by Federico De Roberto, “ Il giorno della Civetta “ by Leonardo Sciascia, short stories and plays by Luigi Pirandello and poems by Salvatore Quasimodo. Andrea Camilleri novels are funny, some were turned into movies in the last twenty years.
Music: classic, pop, rock and songs of different genres
Gardening: I can not live without flowers and plants, they relax me. Nature itself is the best art work in my opinion.
